Last week was the kind of card that looks fine in the standings and thin in the bankroll. Three of the five landed, including a Chris Olave over that cleared by a wide margin and a Kenneth Walker III rushing number that was never in doubt after halftime. The two that missed, Bucky Irving at a long price and a Darnell Mooney receiving line that ended at zero, each cost a full unit, and the winners were priced too short to cover them. The week closed at -0.3u.
That puts the season at 23-17, +5.9u. For Week 5 we have three picks off the PropsEdge cheat sheets: one from TD Scorers, one from Prop Streaks and one from Line Shopping, which is the price-hunting sheet rather than the projection sheet. Every number behind each call is printed under the pick, so you can disagree with the read and still see what we were looking at.
Last issue's picks
| Pick | Line | Result | Actual | Units |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bucky Irving Rush Yds (+275 at Bally Bet) | Over 79.5 | LOSS | 61 vs 79.5 | -1.0u |
| Juwan Johnson Rec Yds (-295 at BetMGM) | Over 24.5 | WIN | 59 vs 24.5 | +0.3u |
| Chris Olave Rec Yds (-185 at BetMGM) | Over 74.5 | WIN | 116 vs 74.5 | +0.5u |
| Darnell Mooney Rec Yds (-114 at FanDuel) | Over 19.5 | LOSS | 0 vs 19.5 | -1.0u |
| Kenneth Walker III Rush Yds (-115 at Fanatics) | Over 85.5 | WIN | 177 vs 85.5 | +0.9u |
Last issue: -0.3u at flat 1-unit stakes. Record since the first issue: 23-17, +5.9u.
Five picks, all graded, none left hanging. Juwan Johnson went for 59 against a 24.5 line and Chris Olave for 116 against 74.5, both comfortable, and Kenneth Walker III put up 177 on an 85.5 rushing number, which was the cleanest result of the week. The two misses were Bucky Irving, who finished at 61 against 79.5 after the game got away from Tampa, and Darnell Mooney, who was shut out entirely at 0 against a 19.5 line that looked like the safest number on the card. Three of five is a fine count, but Johnson at -295 returned 0.34u and Olave at -185 returned 0.54u, and two full-unit losses swallowed all of that plus a little more.
The lesson is in the pricing, not the handicapping. The volume reads were correct: when a receiver or back is getting the touches, the yardage overs cash, and Walker at -115 is the shape of bet that actually pays for itself. But a -295 winner has to run close to perfect to survive a single loser, and Mooney at 0 is a reminder that a low line on a secondary receiver carries the same full-unit downside as anything else. We are leaning less on heavy chalk this week, which is why two of the three Week 5 picks are priced at +100 or longer.
This week's picks
Bijan Robinson, Anytime TD (-180 at Fanatics)

- 2 GAME TD STREAK
- VS #26 WORST RB DEF
- 75% TD HIT RATE L8G
- 1.12 TDS/GAME L8G
- BAL @ ATL, Sun 8:20pm ET

Robinson has found the end zone in each of his last two and draws a Baltimore front the TD Scorers sheet ranks #26 against the run, which is the part of this that matters most in a primetime home game where Atlanta is likely to get red zone work. The hit rate over his last eight is 75%, and that is the whole case: he is the goal line, the short passing game and the two-minute back all at once. The price is short, so there is no cushion here, and a scoreless game script from Atlanta sinks it outright.
Brock Purdy, Pass TDs Over 1.5 (+100 at DraftKings)

- OVER IN 4 STRAIGHT
- 80% OVER L10
- 70% OVER L20G
- 80% HIT RATE VS 50% BREAK-EVEN AT +100
- SF @ SEA, Sun 4:25pm ET
Source: Prop Streaks cheat sheet (free preview, no account needed) · open in the app
Purdy has gone over this number in four straight and in 80% of his last ten, which is the sort of run the Prop Streaks sheet is built to flag before the price catches up. At +100 the market is treating this as a coin flip while the recent sample says otherwise, and a road game in Seattle is exactly the kind of script that keeps San Francisco throwing in the second half. The risk is an efficient ground day that turns two touchdown drives into two rushing scores.
Denzel Boston, Anytime TD (+290 at Fanatics)

- +290 at Fanatics vs +210 consensus
- 6.6 pts of price better than the market across 7 books
- Next best: +230 at DraftKings
- CLE @ NYJ, Sun 1:00pm ET
Source: Line Shopping cheat sheet (free preview, no account needed) · open in the app · First TD sheet for who scores first (free preview)
This one is a price play, not a projection play. Fanatics has Boston at +290 while the consensus across seven books sits at +210, and the next best number anywhere is +230 at DraftKings, so you are getting paid meaningfully more than the market for the same outcome. Nothing about the touchdown itself is more likely than usual at the one o'clock window in New York; the only edge is that one book is slower than the rest, and that edge disappears if the number moves before you get there.
