What is line shopping?
Taking the best available price for the same bet. When one sportsbook pays +120 on a NBA prop the rest of the market prices at -110, the bet is identical but the payout is bigger.
How is the edge measured?
Every sportsbook's price on the same line gives a consensus chance (the median); the best price implies a lower one. The gap, in percentage points, is the edge. Pick'em apps and exchanges never count.
